Introduction to Statistical Genetics 3.0 Credits

Prereq: STA 580 or equivalent.

Same as STA 655

BST 655 presents an introduction to the statistical methodologies used today to investigate genetic susceptibility to complex diseases. The course focuses on linkage and association analysis with applications to real-world data. Commonly used (and freely available) software will be presented and used throughout. Because the field is constantly evolving, a focus of the material for this course will be recent statistical human genetics literature. Prereq: STA 580 or equivalent.
